Our Story
Empower Her – Empower the Future was founded with a deep passion for breaking barriers and creating opportunities for young girls in underserved communities. Inspired by the journey of its founder, Promise Ekeh—from growing up in Warri, Nigeria, to earning a distinction in Petroleum Geoscience at Imperial College London—the initiative seeks to address the challenges girls face in accessing quality education, mentorship, and digital skills.
Throughout her career, Promise Ekeh has witnessed the transformative power of education and representation. Her work in mentoring students, organising coding challenges, and speaking at international conferences has been driven by a commitment to empowering the next generation.
Empower Her is more than just a program; it is a movement dedicated to ensuring that young girls, especially those from marginalized backgrounds, have access to digital skills, mentorship, and the confidence to pursue careers in STEM and technology.
