Our Story
Digital Literacy for the Girl Child
“Empower Her – Empower the Future” was born out of a passion to provide opportunities to young girls in underserved communities. Inspired by my journey from a modest background in Warri to earning an MSc with distinction at Imperial College London, this initiative is my way of giving back and ensuring other girls dare to dream beyond their limits.

To bridge the digital divide and empower young girls with the tools, confidence, and mentorship they need to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.
Programme Overview
Our one-day workshop focuses on:
- Keynote Speech: Delivered by leading women in STEM, inspiring girls to break barriers.
- Interactive Talks: Covering career exploration, leadership, and personal growth.
- Quiz Competition: Promoting collaboration and learning through fun.
Top 30 participants are selected for a yearlong mentorship program, which includes:
- Monthly Training: From coding basics to financial literacy and wellness.
- Career Guidance: Tailored coaching from expert mentors.
- Skill-building Workshops: Covering essential topics like public speaking and entrepreneurship.
About the Organiser
This initiative is inspired by her journey as a girl born in Warri, Nigeria, who dared to dream beyond limitations. Growing up in a modest background, she encountered challenges that many young girls in underdeveloped communities face—limited resources, societal expectations, and the absence of role models in STEM. However, she was determined to rewrite her story.
